| M emorial Days  Reading, writing, arithmetic, How things are made, what makes them tick - These things they teach today in school. Why don't they teach the Golden Rule?  Have we forgotten whence we came? We were the poor, outcast, and lame. We found a nation, under God, When our grandfathers tilled the sod. We pledged allegiance to our flag. It was more than a colored rag. It stood for freedom in our land, The right of each to take his stand. Our brave men died to keep us free. We wipe them from our memory, When in the name of liberty The guilty ones are walking free. Our freedom in this land was founded For justice to keep us grounded. Freedom to worship as we please- That freedom , now, is on its knees.It's begging us to take a stand. Restore that freedom to the land. It's time to say we've had enough. Push us no more! We're standing tough! To honor God, we'll bend our knees; But not the godless to appease. Please stand with me to honor those Who gave their all, so freedom grows.
