not the list of succession.
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Prime Minister
4. Governors of states (within their states)
5. Former Presidents
6. Deputy Prime Minister (if existing)
7. Chief Justice of India; Speaker of the Lok Sabha
8. Union Cabinet Ministers; Chief Ministers of states (within their
states); Dy. Chairman of the Planning Commission; former Prime
Ministers; Leaders of Opposition of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha
9. Bharat Ratna awardees
10. Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to India;
Governors and Chief Ministers of states (outside their states)
11. Judges of the Supreme Court
12. Chief Election Commissioner; Comptroller and Auditor General of India
13. Dy. Chairman of the Rajya Sabha; Dy. Chief Ministers of states;
Dy. Speaker of the Lok Sabha; Members of the Planning Commission;
Ministers of State in the Union and Defence Ministry
14. Attorney General of India; Cabinet Secretary; Lieutenant
Governors (within their Union territory)
15. Chiefs of Staff holding the rank of full General or equivalent rank
