Hamara har lamha chura liya apne ,
Aankhon ko ik chand dikha diya apne ,
hame zindagi to di kisi aur ne
par itna pyar dekar jeena sikha diya apne

Chiragon ko aur tej kar do
kyunki roshni bahut kam hai
aur main tamaam umar tera intezaar kar longa
phir bhi yeh gam rehega ki "Zindagi kam hai"

 Hamare zakhmo ki vajhah bhi wo hai..
Hamare zakhmo ki Dava bhi wo hai...
Wo namak zakmo pe lagaye to kya hua...
Mohabbat karne ki wazah bhi wo hai...

Tum khafa hogaye to koi khushi na rahegi,
Tere bina chirago me roshni na rahegi;
Kya kahe kya guzregi dil par,
Zinda to rahenge par zindagi na rahegi.
