[hindi_jokes] Incredible India......Mumbai Magic........(Prishi)

Welcome to Mumbai. Fifteen million people live in Mumbai - industrialists, film-stars, artists, workers, teachers and clerks - all living cheek-by-jowl in soaring skyscrapers and sprawling slums. They come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and speak over a dozen tongues, adding colour, flavour and texture to the Great Mumbai Melting Pot.
Mumbai is a city that never sleeps! If you're visiting on business or holiday, there are lots of things to do and see.
As India's largest and most multicultural city, Mumbai is a fairly liberal place and its business culture tends to be informal and friendly. However, traditions still hold in many areas of behaviour, and its wise to be prepared.
Mumbai has a wide range of hotel options, depending on what you're looking for.

Chatrapathi Shivaji - The Warrior

Known as one of the most daring kings to have ever ruled in India, Shivaji was a terror
to the Moghul rulers. He built up a vast Hindu Empire by wrenching Maharashtra from her
invaders, the Moghuls, with the guidance of his guru Samartha Ramdas.

He was a master in guerilla warfare. Even though he was captured by Aurangazeb, he escaped
from the jail by hiding in a large box of sweets.

When he was a child he would listen to the stories of the Ramayana and Mahabharata from his
mother Jijabai and this profoundly inspired him. He was adored by his people because he loved
the poor and the weak and took special care of them. He was also a brilliant organiser and
ruled his kingdom efficiently. He continues to inspire the Hindu masses even today.

The Queen's necklace

Marine Drive (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Road) or popularly known as the Queen's Necklace, the promenade stretches from Walkeshwar (where the Maharashtra State Governor's Bungalow is located) to Nariman Point (where all the high rise sky scrapers of Mumbai are located). It is one of the most beautiful roads in Mumbai as it is a long curved stretch and looks better at night as the glittering lights make it look like a queen's pearl necklace.
