Manthras are classified into 2024 Vargas which are made out of 10552 Riks. These manthraas are composed with a total number of193816 Sanskrit words. There are 397265 letters in Rigveda. Some of the names of the Rishies who composed the Veda manthras are Kasyapa, Viswamitra, Kanwa, Paraasara, Gouthama, Bharatha, Vamadeva, Gopayana, Athreya, Aangeerasa, Bharadvaaja, Sounaka, Gargya, Praagaatha, Vasishta, Yama, Samvana, and so on.
